Print media has come a long way. People have used paper for many things since its invention in 105 AD. Who would have thought that Johannes Gutenburg started a paper revolution two hundred years after it was born? And yet, even with the quick progress of digital media, print media remains as one of the most influential movers of modern media marketing. 

The right custom marketing materials will make or break your business. While social media is making strides in unlimited advertising, you cannot ignore traditional print. Professional branding comes from the use of these custom marketing materials via print. 

Corporate Identity Materials

An initial face-to-face meet up with a client is still a preferred way to conduct business. It makes you and your company look professional in your dealings. You would want prospective business partners to remember your logo. So the first thing you should do is brand all correspondences issued to customers and clients. Business cards, presentation folders, letterheads, and envelopes are all essential to the company because you get to advertise your business discreetly. 

Printed Brochures and Catalogues

A brochure may be traditional, but it will never leave your client’s side. It may be forgotten in a bag somewhere, but he remembers what it is for once he sees it. Let it stand out amongst the rest with a design that will make him take a second look. 

Gone are the days when a catalogue looked like a neglected, thick phone book. The new kind now looks like a smaller and slimmer magazine. Your catalogue design should be in line with your logo, and inner-page quality should be well-thought.

These small, 2×3 cards may seem innocent enough. But when done right, they wield power like no other. It is the first line of advertising because you exchange it with potential clients and customers at trade shows or meet-ups. Most people judge a business based on the appearance of these cards. The quality and professionalism of your card may also win over a client you have been wooing since forever. 

Just remember to keep your design in line with your logo, stick to a maximum of two colours, and make the font readable. Too much information will confuse the customer, so ensure that your card is easy on the eyes. Always include at least three cards in any correspondence, and bring some with you wherever you go. 

Signs and Banners

A logo, contact number, or social media accounts, and the name of the business is the usual information found on a sign or banner. The advertising strategy seems impactful yet straightforward, mainly when used in a significant activity via event sponsorships. 

Promotional Marketing Materials

A business with potential invests in small items for people to recall. You can use them as giveaways or prizes. You can also give them to your employees, so they can use it and market the company unknowingly. Examples of promotional marketing materials are calendars, mugs, key chains, pens, stuffed animals featuring the company mascot, complementary and non-complementary gift certificates, and t-shirts. 

Advertising is an ever-evolving process. But print materials will always be a constant thing for a more successful marketing strategy.
